Privacy policy

What we collect

When you create an account, we store your email address. When you pair the Chrome extension, we store a secure device token and the watch data it chooses to sync: retailer URL, product title, product image, price, availability, and check time. For Argos checks, your full postcode stays in the extension; only a broad postcode area may be synced with an observation.

Why we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, show your private watch list, keep price history, deliver the alerts you enable, and operate product discussions. Public comments are shown with their retailer and status; we do not display your email address publicly.

Cookies

We use a strictly necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics uses cookies to help us understand visits and site usage. Google processes this analytics information. We keep advertising consent disabled and do not send your account email address or sign-in tokens to Analytics. Your cookie choice is stored in your browser. You can choose Essential only or change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer. See Google’s privacy policy for more information.

How we protect your information

Connections to this website use HTTPS encryption. We protect sign-in sessions with secure cookies, store sign-in and extension access tokens as hashes, and encrypt SMTP passwords and API secrets stored through Admin. Access to account and private watch information is restricted to authorised users and administrators who need it to operate the service.

To ask for a copy of your personal information, correct it or request deletion, contact hello@wotchthisspace.co.uk. You can manage email preferences in your account and analytics preferences using Cookie settings in the footer.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell personal data. Retailer links may include affiliate tracking, described in our affiliate disclosure. We retain account and watch information while your account is active unless we must retain it for security or legal reasons.

Your choices

You can sign out at any time, manage alerts, and ask us about your account data by emailing hello@wotchthisspace.co.uk.
